Here's my opinion. Grace is the favorite in the 5th/6th Valley in the 4th and Lapwai from the north. The 3rd looks up for grabs. Horseshoe Bend has the best record I think but if I remember they lost to Liberty Charter and Ambrose is always in the mix. Also the 2nd seeds from 4th and the north will be close

I would agree on pretty much all counts. Saw Prairie topped Lapwai last night after getting blown out the first time around. Looks like Ambrose also trounced Horshoe. Valley and Grace look in control of their conferences. Should be interesting come Disticts and State.

Also looks like Dietrich and Genesis Prep are the class of the D2 ranks again. Anyone know if any of G-Preps players will be affected by the new F1 rule?

Grace came out shaky against Challis but finished decent. They bounced back the next night and played pretty good against top ranked 2A Bear Lake. I still say Grace wins their district and heads to state along with Valley from the 4th. Right now those are the closest to sure things there are. Prairie and Lapwai will probably come from the north but in what order? I think Ambrose Liberty Charter and Horseshoe Bend could come from the west but their order is too close to call as well as 2nd place from the 4th. Should be some exciting district games coming up.

As the season is wrapping up things seem to have tightened up. Valley drops a close one to Oakley while prairie and Lapwai have split. The 3rd is a toss up with Wilder, Horseshoe Bend, Ambrose and Liberty Charter all in contention. Grace is still the closest to a sure thing but with all things anything can happen.

Indeed. Wilder tops Ambrose at the buzzer after dropping several close conference games. Horshoe, Liberty and those two should come out of District 3. Valley loses another close one, they seem to be blowing out those who they should be, but dropping the tight games against stiffer competition. Valley and Oakley should come out of 4. Grace out of 5, and Prairie and Lapwai out of 2, unless Prairie lays an egg like they did against Kamiah. In the D2 ranks, looks like Genesis Prep and Deary from the north, Dietrich and Carey yet again from the south, with Tri-Valley, Council, Rockland, and Butte in the other areas.

I just saw a news story about Valley closing school today because of illness. Does anyone know if the team has been affected by this? Just wondering if it was a factor in the loss to Oakley.

We've seen some of the top teams from the north and district 4 struggle a little in their first rounds. Now it's district 3's turn. I predict some more tough games for at least some of the top four teams from there. Waiting to see if there will be any upsets.
