Fruitland Coach

I see that Fruitland is now looking for a new coach again. What happened with coach Moore? It seems that when she takes on a program it seems to struggle. Wondering what’s behind the story and whose next?

Slocum to Oregon State

A little surprising to me because they weren't on her radar a year ago...but they have a great program going and she is a bug time addition for them. That Civil War rivalry will be a lot of fun to watch with Destiny at the controls for the Beavs and Ionescu (Destiny's Class of 16 peer at the point) running things for the Ducks.

Brocke Changes over to Colorado State

http://www.idahostatesman.com/sports/high-school/girls-prep-basketball/article142074099.html Interesting move. Seems like a step up to me. CSU has won the Mtn. West for the last 3 years I think. Another big notch for the local girls basketball bedpost.

5A Final

I wish neither team had to lose that game....Very intense, high energy, defensive battle between Eagle and Centennial last night. The Patriots defensive effort this tournament was unprecedented. They didn't give up 40 points in any of their 3 games. The Championship game wasn't pretty. Shots were missed by both sides that you wouldn't expect, but that is exactly what good defense will (more)

5A Round 1

Long day at the Idaho Center. Some really nice basketball (and a few examples of NOT). First things First. A tip of the cap to Highland for keeping things interesting with Eagle. My apologies to Farmbo for ridiculing the Highland guard play. I should have remembered the Baker kid. Only a sophomore, with all the sophomore baggage (out of control, lost her cool a couple times) BUT she is going (more)

Minico looses Jillian Gilcrest to a broken hand and Maura

Merril to an ACL in their win last night over Madison. Devastating for the team and these outstanding girls.

Thoughts on the state tournament

Kudo's to undefeated Butte County what a year they had. Also Lapwai who was equally impressive in div 1. Ririe also had a great year in 2a and in 3a the top ranked team in power and state rankings Timberlake also lived up to their billing and defeated Sugar in a tough championship game. Probably never been four more dominant teams together in those four divisions. ConGrads to Middleton and (more)

Century looks ready for title run

Last night against a mediocre IF team Century finally put a season worth of practice all together.Multiple shooters hit shots ,the bigs were dominant, the defense was stifling and they led 51-13 with time left in the third quarter. They have gotten progressively better the past three weeks. Credit to this coaching staff ,Shuler, Holt and Bull have a history of getting team's to peak at tournament (more)
