I am only familiar with East Idaho. I think Rigby has to be a solid favorite again in 5A, What about 4A? Skyline again, Shelley? 3A Sugar reloads but Teton is right there, 2A not sure, West Side always tough, does BL have a solid core returning, Firth loses a few kids, North Fremont reloads? 1A is Butte a favorite or Grace? Just trying to get a conversation going.

In 4A, Skyline until someone knocks them out. They lucked out last year playing all the games in Holt Arena. They always seem to have an easy time winning in the dome.
In 4A Bishop Kelly always reloads and will show up with about 60 juniors and seniors on their roster. Twin Falls and Hillcrest both return a lot of starters. Saw Minico at Boise 7on7 and they have some good looking athletes. I'm most familiar with Pocatello who returns 20 starters and get their starting QB back that only played in 2 games last year, blow out wins over Twin and Ridgeview. Currently have 5 players with scholie offers. Could make a run if stay healthy.
Well until BK is forced to move up a level, they will always be in the mix in 4A. They should have to move up in 24 and play at 5a where private schools belong. With all the coaching changes it will be a wild 23 season. 4a Sic should end up pretty much the same as last season IMO.
Minico and Twin should be good in d4 4a, bk might as well. Cr and Burley dark horses. I don’t think Jerome or Mountain Home will do much. Wr petitioned down to 3a and got clobbered in playoffs. Gooding lost a lot of talent will they rebuild?
kimberly and Buhl how will they do? Declo and Wendell either team could be decent only two teams in Magic Valley as Sun Valley Community School doesn’t field it’s own football team.
Oakley and Raft River will dominate, while Murtaugh and Lighthouse will do ok. Carey will be decent. Glenn’s Ferry and Valley major rebuilding.
1ad2 Dietrich won’t steamroll everyone but should be decent. Camas will be tough. Richfield may be back to varsity. Shoshone I don’t think will do much. I don’t think Castleford or Hansen will do much next year but could win a few games. Hagerman improving.
Kendrick will probably dominate again. Fall enrollment is up at the IDHSAA site. Have to do poor to petition down. Two Twin Falls schools will be at 5a, Hagerman, Council and Kendrick will move up and Castleford and Carey will move down if count stays at or near the same in March.
I’ll take Highland in 5A. They return 10 of 11 starters on offense and bring back the best tailback in Idaho who missed this last year with a broken collarbone. The Ram QB is special, and the OLine is huge and experienced. they also bring back 6 starters on defense and both kicker and punter.
I am from the Magic Valley we don't have 5A teams so I don't know much there but 4A Minico is always a good contender and is consistently at state. I can see Burley and Canyon Ridge as possible dark horses to make a run but I don't think they can win it. 3A Buhl is graduating a lot and I think Kimberly will take the crown in the district but I don't think any of the teams are state contenders. 2A Declo is always decent and I am sure they can possibly put together a run but the east is tough in 2A and so is the Boise area with Melba. 1AD1 is the fun one, maybe Oakley wins another, Raft River could be good, Carey is always good but a new coach will be interesting. Even Lighthouse could surprise people and make a run the conference is always fun. 8-man in the Magic Valley is good, in 1AD2 I can see Camas possibly taking over as Dietrich graduates Powers and Castleford only had 8 players and the a good chunk are graduating.
